Why come and practice yoga with me?

As a Yoga teacher based in the beautiful seaside village of Middleton-on-Sea, near Bognor Regis in West Sussex, my main goal is to lead others down the long path of discovery that yoga provides.

Perhaps you run or you play sport such as golf, tennis or cricket and want to improve your strength and flexibility? Maybe you're suffering from pain or want to get back to strength after an injury?

Whether you want to just move your body,  stretch and strengthen,  or simply be more present, I know you’ll benefit from my practice.

What brings me joy is to share all that I’ve learnt along the way with my students. Something I know for sure is that everyone could benefit from introducing the beautiful practice of yoga in their lives.

How I found yoga....

Back in 2010 I was diagnosed with a rare chronic illness, A few years on, I suffered the sudden loss of my beloved Dad to cancer, the emotional stress took its toll and I hit rock bottom with the illness. Surgery followed, then a quiet period of recovery and reflection as I realised I needed to make some changes in my life, to look after my mental and physical health.

Already an active, sporty person, I'd heard positive things about yoga, and was drawn to the physical aspect, not really expecting anything else. However, after my first yoga session, I somehow felt different, more calm, relaxed and comfortable in my body, with which I fought daily. I began to see how Yoga could make a difference to how I could cope on a daily basis.

Fast forward some years, and equipped with a love of learning and a natural curiosity, I embarked on my foundational teacher training with LIVE LOVE YOGA, in Worthing West Sussex. I am now registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

I have come to believe that yoga is for everyone,  and that the right  teacher is out there to suit each individuals needs.

Through yoga you can become more in tune with your body, and treat yourself and your body with respect, kindness and acceptance, regardless of limitations.
